Welcome to Scuola Holden’s General Store.
For those who don’t know yet, this place used to be a military armoury where weapons and ammunitions were produced for the Italian army. In the Manica degli Obici, which we have renamed General Store, there are a couple of overhead cranes that are still working.
Today this area has become what could be seen as a mix of a post-industrial main hall, a theatre imagined by Jules Verne, the loft of a bankrupt millionaire and the place where you’ve always dreamt of playing the sax or getting married all designed by Dante Ferretti. Now many people use it for press conferences, conventions, summits and other nicer things too.
Here below are some photos to get an idea of what the school looked like before it was renewed and what it has become now.
