We have invited many people to the School over the last few years. Men and women who tell stories for a living. Here follows a selection from a very, very long list of guest’s names.
Some do it through song or in the newspaper columns that we read. Some use acrylics or china ink, whilst others slip on a pair of comfortable shoes and set out, camera in hand. Others just use words. They can tell us about this world or “galaxies far, far away”. In any case, they don’t simply stop at the surface.
They are the masters of a way of life that doesn’t just exist but also a way that shares, explains and digs into the hidden corners our own redemption. This way of telling stories, by a trial of joyous successes and painful failures, has defined (and will continue to define) the frontiers of the human soul.
This is why we invite them to the Holden; to pass the ball – and the responsibility that comes with it – to the next generation.
